Uniform
St Mary’s school has a prescribed school uniform. It is an expectation that students wear the uniform at all times. Substitutes are not permitted. The School Uniform Shop will supply the items below with the exception of the tights and shoes. The shop is open twice a week – Monday - 3pm to 3.30 pm & Wednesday - 8.50am to 9.30am.

Additional Items
School Bags
From the commencement of the 2010 school year the St. Mary’s School Bag is a compulsory item.
Library bags, raincoats and art smocks are also available from the Uniform Shop but are not compulsory uniform items. PLEASE NOTE: Second hand uniforms are not available at the Uniform Shop, however advertisements to buy or sell second hand uniforms may be displayed at the Uniform Shop or in the school Newsletter.
Hair
Students’ hair should be clean, well-groomed and off the face. Hair below shoulder length should be tied back using a plain navy blue ribbon or elasticised hair-tie. No other form of decoration (e.g. beads) should be worn in the hair and extreme colouring and hairstyles are not permitted.
Jewellery
A set of small plain sleepers or studs may be worn in the lobes of the ear. Bracelets, chains and rings may not be worn. (The only exception is a fine neck chain with a small approved Christian symbol or a Medic Alert bracelet or necklace.) Obvious use of cosmetics (including nail polish) is not permitted.
Scarves / Gloves
Only plain navy scarves / gloves are permitted to be worn.
Weatherproof Jacket
Students may wear a navy jacket or parka on cold days.
Undergarments
Any garments worn underneath the school uniform are not to be visible.
Sports Uniform
The Sports Uniform must only be worn on PE or Sports Days.
